Raigad is a historic hill fort located in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It served as the capital of the Maratha Empire under Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who was crowned there in 1674. The fort is perched at an altitude of 2,700 feet above sea level and is known for its strategic location, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding Sahyadri mountain range.

The fort complex includes significant structures such as the royal palace, public durbar (court), watchtowers, and the Samadhi (memorial) of Shivaji Maharaj. It is accessible via a steep climb of around 1,737 steps or by a ropeway. Raigad is a symbol of Maratha pride and heritage, attracting history enthusiasts and trekkers alike.
